About the McCormack Career Fair
"We strive to create a mutually beneficial event for organizations in the sports industry searching for quality applicants, and the well-prepared students in the Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management and other students at the University of Massachusetts with ambitions of working in the sports industry."
The McCormack Career Fair began as a modest campaign promise by Committee Co-Chair Tiffany Hartford while running for Activities Coordinator of the Association of Diversity in Sport and it has since grown to one of the most beneficial events on campus for the UMass Amherst student body. Tiffany noticed that there was a University-wide career fair, an Isenberg School of Management career fair, and career fairs for other majors within the business school, but not a sport management career fair, which is arguably the most difficult industry to gain experience and employment in.
